The 2019 BCM Community Education Project Based summer team consists of Sabrina Guzman and Destiny Aranda. Together, they’re working collaboratively in groups to create, develop, and manage the BCM Community Project Based Summer Program known as Community Heroes. Community Heroes is a program dedicated to helping kids explore the meaning of identity using resources to empower themselves as well as others through a series of mini projects. Children will research how people around the Whittier community have heroistic qualities and how they impact their community while working in their groups to explore and gain knowledge while creatively producing a newspaper and news cast via google slides. Childrens’ final work will be presented to each other at the end of the program (live countdown).
