Don Bremme Community Education Prize

The newly established Don Bremme Community Education Prize is an annual award that will honor a high-achieving Whittier undergraduate student who shows commitment to the local community by planning to pursue a career in teaching and education. This gift was created during the retirement of Whittier 5th Dimension Founder, Don Bremme, to continue support of students who provide an amazing contribution to the lives of children through the Whittier Fifth Dimension Program. Since 1993, more than 200 Whittier College students have been a part of the Fifth Dimension program and team - each dedicating, at the very least (often more), a year of their college career to our program. Collectively, they have served more than 13,000 local youth and families.

Fifth Dimension College Fund

The Fifth Dimension Fund was created to encourage and support parents and students to begin planning early for the financial responsibility of college. The fund will be used to gift citizens of our program with scholarships to help start and build a college savings account. All citizens who participate throughout the academic school year in our after school program are eligible recipients. Parents will be guided and supported through the process and given resources on how, together, they can grow their child’s college fund. Gifts will be awarded throughout the year and during our Annual End of the Year Celebration! Some funds will also be used to support fundraising and alumni events.
